Stirling is literaly "The heart of Central Scotland", traditionally known as "The gateway to the highlands".
Stirling is a stunning mix of both old and new, with the two unmistakable landmarks of the Castle and the Wallace monument looking over the city and surrounding countryside.

Being centrally located, Stirling is a convienient area of Scotland to travel to, being served by excellent transport routes and facilities from anywhere in the UK.

Stirling University itself is located between Stirling and Bridge of Allan. It is easily accessible from either the bus and rail stations within the city itself or if travelling by road, from the excellent Motorway network which runs through Central Scotland.

Airport Transfers
The Service will not at this time be offering airport transfers. Teams attending will be expected to arrange their own transfers from the airport they fly into.
Airports
Edinburgh Airport : Edinburgh is the closest airport to Stirling and is the easiest to get to. There are excellent road links via the M9 motorway and travel time to Stirling is around 45 minutes. If taking public transport, an airport bus or taxi will take you to the Edinburgh Park railway station where a train to Stirling can be boarded.

Glasgow Airport : Glasgow airport is a feasible alternative to Edinburgh and is situated on the far side of the city of Glasgow from Stirling. From the airport, the M8 motorway leads towards the city centre of Glasgow and from there onto the A80 and M80 to Stirling. If taking public transport, an airport bus or taxi will take you to Glasgow Queen Street station where a train to Stirling can be boarded.

Prestwick Airport : Of the three airports serving Central Scotland, Prestwick is the furthest from Stirling. The most likely road route would be to Glasgow on the M77 through Glasgow itself on the M8 and then on to Stirling via the A80 and M80 motorway. If taking public transport, there is a train station at the airport where a train to Glasgow Central station can be boarded. A change of stations would then be required and a train to Glasgow Queen Street would need to be boarded. From Queen Street station, a train to Stirling can be boarded.
